George Foreman III

George Milton Foreman III, 23, of Walkersville, went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2005 at Union Memorial Hospital of Baltimore, suddenly. Born July 3, 1982 in Frederick, he was the son of Ruth E. Foreman and George M. Foreman Jr.
George graduated from Gov. Thomas Johnson High School in 2000, and was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church. He received an A.A. degree in general studies from Frederick Community College in 2004. He was employed at Holiday Inn for five years, where he was recently promoted to banquet supervisor. He had a smile to light up the world, and made an impression on all those who came in contact with him.
He is survived by one brother, Michael Foreman; and one sister, MyKeya Foreman, both of Walkersville. Also surviving are one maternal great-grandmother, Ruth C. Haynesworth of Frederick; maternal grandmother, Sylvia Cleckley; step-grandfather, Shelly Cleckley of Frederick; and grandfather, Isaac Stanton of Frederick; paternal grandfather, George Foreman Sr. and wife Lucille of Gaithersburg; stepmother, Sharron West of Frederick. He is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
George was preceded in death by a favorite aunt, Shirley Foreman; grandmother, Lillian Foreman; and uncle, Leonard Barnes. He leaves behind a truly devoted friend, Erin Roelke. He has numerous close mends, but those long-time friends, Jermaine, Chief, Big Jeff, Pat, Josh, Seth, and Chris.
George touched many lives. He was very active in sports, beginning as a young child. He was known for his aggressiveness and hard-hitting as football player. Many remembered him as being a pesky bug on the basketball court, he was quick and aggressive. George had planned to continue his education in respiratory therapy, but we know God has a better plan for him.
A public viewing will be held Tuesday, July 19, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South St., at which time the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Church of the Brethren, 201 Fairview Ave., Frederick, with the Rev. Langston officiating. Interment Fairview Cemetery.
