Mr. Steven Bowie Sr.
Mr. Steven Todd Bowie Sr., 38, of Fayetteville, N.C., formerly of Frederick, died Thursday, July 11, at Durham Virginia Medical Center.
He was the husband of Joyce Bowie of Frederick.
Born July 15, 1963, he was a son of Margaret D. Bowie of Silver Spring, and Francis T. Bowie of Frederick.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two brothers, Craig Jackson of Virginia, and Jeffery Bowie of Silver Spring; two sisters, Erica F. Bowie of Frederick, and Dana Bowie of Virginia; three children, Steven T. Bowie Jr. of Hagerstown, Shihee H. Bowie of Frederick and Briana H. Bowie of Fayetteville; his father- and mother-in-law, Joseph B.T. Jr. and Dr. Gertrude B. Dixon of Hagerstown; one niece, Carrington Worthing of Silver Spring; four aunts, Mary L. Timpson and Esther Bowie, both of Frederick, Ratchel G. Johnson of Philadelphia, and Joanne Bowie of Washington; six uncles, Charles L. Jackson and Horace E. Jackson, both of Adamstown, Frank S. Jackson and Wight W. Bowie, both of Baltimore, and Arthur T. Bowie and Reginald T. Bowie, both of Frederick; and a number of cousins, including Hilda D. James and Sarah L. Thomas, both of Frederick.
Mr. Bowie will also be remembered by his friend, Valerie Kirk of Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon at Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home, 110 W. South St., Frederick on Friday, July 19, with services immediately following in the chapel. The Rev. Christine Moore will be officiating.
Interment will be held Monday, July 22, in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, with the Rev. Christine Monroe officiating.
Steven married Joyce Bowie.
